What about compatibility IAv3 with this mods?
BGT v 1.03
BGT Tweak pack

Secret of Bone Hill for BGT
Northern Tales of the Sword Coast for BGT
Dark Side of the Sword Coast for BGT
Region of Terror

especially with BGT

Big thanks for this mod!
Sikret
I don't know much about BGT. Its compatibility with IA is not tested as far as I can say. If you can provide links to the readme files of the mods you mentioned, I may be able to give a better reply.

In general, changes applied to BG1 (by other mods) will not have any conflict with IA. Improved Anvil is a mod for BG2 (+TOB) and has nothing to do with BG1.

Cheers

Here some information about BGT. May be it will be enough:

General readme: http://america.iegmc.net/bgt-weidu/BGTReadme.htm

Compatibility issue: http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/index.php?showtopic=19539
(for version 1.02f - but i think that it`s not big differets between 1.02 and 1.03)

I`m asking about compatibility becase "BGT-WeiDU is partially compatible with
-Ascension 1.42.1 or above
Needs to be installed before BGT-WeiDU if 'Tougher Illasera' component is used, since AR4000.BCS is replaced, resulting in all the BG1 dream cutscenes occurring at rest in a Throne of Bhaal game"

Mabe IA makes something same? (replace some usefull *.bcs or other resources)

P.S. Sorry for my English mistakes (i`m from Russia)
Sikret
I checked the readme very quickly (I'm currently busy with preparing the new version of IA and prefer to spend my free time on working on the mod) and found two potential problems:

QUOTE

BGT-WeiDU alters a large number of references inside your Baldur’s Gate II dialog.tlk file.

This may cause problems because IA uses some of the game's original stringrefs and they should not have been changed by other mods.

QUOTE

For Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal, it is advisable that you install BGT-WeiDU as the first modification if you do not plan to install the mega-modification with it

Improved Anvil requires Baldurdash TOB fixpack v1.12 (it should be installed after TOB official patch) which is normally installed before any WeiDu mods.

There may be more problems but finding them requires more time and more detailed information about what BGT does.

Really, you should install the fixpack or Baldurdash before BGT. So this should not be a problem.

This might, just try to install IA before BGT.
Sikret
If BGT alters stringrefs, it will cause problems regardless of the order of installation. Moreover, IA should be installed late, while BGT should be installed early, so IA can't be installed before BGT even if it could solve the stringref issue.
Koriatus
Ok. May be it will be interesting for all of you.

Here http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/index.p...ost&id=4409 is a WiDU log of megainstallation of differenr mods (big and small).

The information about compatibility of this mods you can read here
http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/index.p...=22224&st=0

In the log you can see that here are situated some components of Improved Asylym, Ascencion, Tactics, Sword Coast Strategments.

I think it will be VERY INTRESTING to play all this BIG modification (BG1+BG2+TOB+above all big mods+and tactics improvements)with IA.(becase of very intelligent system of AI improvements in your mod Sikret).

And of case it will be good to give freedom for hardcore players not to play with item upgrades from your mod. And makes stuff not so powerfull. For example i never use item upgrades mods.

That`s why I will ask you to think about adaptation your future mod IAv4 for BGT and other mods from this list. I think it will be very interesting, and if you will have time may be you can do it?

SORRY FOR POOR English.

Here's a list of all STRING_SETs from BGT tp2. I doubt any of them could cause trouble with any existing bg2 mod.

Just a thought:

I'm currently running BGT in a BG1 portion of the game. I think the safest thing to do is after finishing BG1 remove BGT and do a fresh install of BG2, just to avoid any mod screw-ups.

Then you'd be better off playing Tutu instead of BGT.

not to feed the troll, but I tried tutu first and didn't like the install complications, or the ambiguity between easy-tutu or regular tutu. BGT works very well and anyways they're more or less the same... and maybe one fine day they will be combined.

I agree. Moreover, BGT-WeiDU is widely translated whereas EasyTutu is English only. BGT-WeiDU is an excellent mod and it makes sense to play with it even for the BG1 part only. I heartily recommend it.
pro5
Hey, you don't need to convince me play BGT, I'm already playing it and that's not going to change anytime soon. biggrin.gif

I just don't see any sense in using it the way it was never meant to be used. Uninstalling it (before or after transition, regardless) is likely to screw up some things for you, I wouldn't recommend it. Actually I wouldn't recommend uninstalling/reinstalling anything on the game in progress, unless you're forced to do it by a serious problem in your game.

So far, there's been no evidence anything will go wrong if you use BGT and IA together, so go for it if you want. Problems brought up by Sikret are of potential kind, and I suspect they'll remain such. The modified strrefs are for the most part unused remnants from BG1 dialog.tlk. The recommendation to install first has been redundant for some time, as BGT is now widely installed after BG2 Fixpack and several huge BG2 mods.

As for Tutu, there are no install complications if you use EasyTutu. There are reasons why I prefer BGT over Tutu, but more complicated installation on the latter is hardly one of them.

Pro5,

rather than take the chance of BG2/IA messing with BGT, I will re-install just BG2/TOB and then shadowkeeper my pc and npcs to reflect their stats/exp/etc at the end of BG1.

Does BGT allow you to keep bg1 items through Irenicus' dungeon? Otherwise I figured I'd put them into Ribald's inventory or bring in Thalan (the item-creation mod for bg1) somewhere in bg2. Is there anything else that needs to be preserved for continuity's sake between BG 1 and 2?

cheers,

kilolima
Anomaly
BGT does import some items (such as Koveras Ring - you should REALLY keep it *hint*, or the Kalgaroth Horn), and with one component of BGT-Tweaks much more items are imported. But you don't keep ALL items on you, some specific items are just relocated in the dungeon.

For importing manually, just export your PC at BGT "end", and import it in pure BG2. It will work.
