I know that a lot of the NPC's say some funny things when you click on them a lot. I was sorry that this wasn't the same in BG2 to be honest - it seemed as though the humour was more calculated there!

Anyway I was surprised when looking through some of the other creature files that creatures also got some strange dialogue lines too but when would you ever get the chance to click several times on a Xvart or Gibberling?!

Here are a few of my favourites from both:

Xzar: I ate his liver with a nice Chianti and some fava beans.

A Xvart: Humanoid scuz suckers. - Die, snot heads.

Xan: You could do us all a favor Eldoth, by getting killed in the next battle.

Volo: Awfully familiar with that pointer, aren't you? And after only one drink, too.

Volo: I've a story for every man, woman, and child in Faur'n. However, copyright laws forbid me the telling.

Tiax: Ya lil' monkey-spanker.
Tiax: When Tiax rules, breeches shall not ride up so wedge-like!

Bandit: I hate dem Flamin Fist pansies.

Tazok: Oh sure! Touch me like you know me! Now I kill you twice!

Tazok: Do I LOOK like I enjoy being prodded by strangers? Stow the pointer, mouse-boy!

Harlot: Hey sexy. Do ya wanna take a look at me diddeys? (this one always cracks me up)

Skie: All of you are such pigs.

Skie: I broke a nail. - I've mussed my hair. - Lets go shopping!

Sharteel: I spit on your manhood.

Scar: My bum's itchy, but I can't scratch it cause my armor's too tight.

A Kobold: Grrrr, yip yip yap bark bark! - Look, we don't speak common, alright?! Yeesh!

Priest of Gond: My friend Oppenheimer's got some cool invention cooked up.

I love the BG1 quotes laugh.gif

Let's play a game!
Someone tells a quote, others will try to guess who (what NPC, creature etc.) said it in the game, and the person who successfully guesses it in the game can tell a new quote, and others will try to guess this, and who successfully guesses it can tell another quote, and so on.

One of my favourite quotes, if not the most favourite, is this: "Are you looking at me? ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME?". The name of any person (or creature type if the quote is not specific) who said this is considered a good solution.
jastey

Unfortunately, I'm far more familiar with BGII quotes at the moment... I could imagine one of the NPCs said that, Edwin or Xzar or Montaron... But I have to admit I have no idea... smile.gif
Baronius
Nevermind. Someone else will definitely guess it correctly, sooner or later smile.gif

You like the BGII quotes better? Then the BG2 Quote Game is for you, check it out in its forum wink.gif
Sir-Kill
Slyth
Baronius
He does not say it tongue.gif
Several men tell it in the game, one example is enough, think of Nashkel for example
jastey
a peasant (town inhabitant)
Ragnar
One of the Nashkel Guards or Flaming Fist Guards?
Baronius
Usually the thin peasants do not act like that; Ragnar is a bit closer to the solution (with the first part of his question... think of a high-ranking soldier, not Brage though)
Sir-Kill
from your clues this is probaly wrong but...

nimbul
Baronius
High-ranking officer, town of Nashkel...
His ancestors or himself might have killed a lot of ghasts...
Sir-Kill
berron gastkill

well to keep it running

"Are you talking to me? Are you talking to me?"

talking not looking
Baronius
Yeah Berrun Ghastkill biggrin.gif

The source of your quote is for example Marl (the guy who insults you in Feldepost's Inn because his son had died because he had wanted to be an adventurer; if you talk to him wisely you don't have to kill him but get XP instead)
Although others in the game also tell this... if you meant someone else please tell !

Meanwhile I tell a quote: 'While being a leader, I endeavor not to get all of us killed.'
Sir-Kill
yes thats it

joinable npc right?

Baronius
To question 1: Yes
To question 2: No

Think of a non-warrior character...
Rabain
There is only one person who would say something like that-

Baronius
Exactly!
Now it's your turn!
Rabain
Okay - I'll make it easy (everyone should know this!)

"Why do I live in such a pissant town."
Baronius
I leave the chance to others this time tongue.gif
