Hello.

My friends suggested I try this mod, but it doesn't seem to like me or my computor. I've tried everything I could think of, but it still won't work, and I'm really confused about the whole thing...

I downloaded from the v7.02, and saw this message:

Seeing that Baldurdash-WeiDU "was a MUST" I downloaded that (from the link given in that same thread) installed all the components (because that's what I thought I had to do) then proceeded to download and install TS. (Oh, and yes I have ToB and the official patch, + no other mods - besides the WeiDU - installed)

Only problem is, I keep getting this message:

Needless to say, that confused me. I tried again, got the same message. I snooped around on here for a bit, but didn't find any thing of use, so I decided to check it out myself.

At this time, my Weidu log reads:

Because I know next to nothing about that coding stuff, I decided to leave it all alone and try a different approach; so I reinstalled my BG1 & 2, Patched and installed Baldurdash-WeiDU again, and it came up with the exact same message.

I tried again, (foolishly) and it is now popping up a message which states (just after: Compiling 103 dialogue files and 1 script):

After - "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."


and, er, thats it.

I just checked, and I can press [N]o when it asks if I want to install TS, and I can install the 'Areas & Sounds', 'Graphical user interface <GUI>', and 'Animations' without any errors or little messages popping up. Frankly, I'm confused.

I'm sorry if this is all a stupid problem, and I've missed something totally obvious (knowing me, that's fairly likely blink.gif) but I would appreciate some help. I've given all the details I can think of, but if anything else is needed, please let me know.

This error message says something like this:

"Hi! Unfortunately, one of your files, namely PPIRENI2.DLG, is not in its original version and has been modified by someone or something prior to installation of TS."

So, the question is very simple - what did you install or try installing before installation of TS?

Now right to the point. I assume that you have the original English version of the game. If this is the case, then please remove your present game entirely, uninstall, delete the whole BG2 directory if it is left behind. Then install BG2 anew, including ToB and ToB last official patch. Then install Baldurdash-WeiDU 1.66, and after that - TS 7.02. If the error appears again, please attach your entire WeiDU.log here (just opent it with your Notepad, select all, copy and paste here in your nex post).

Hello, I'm sorry I took so long to reply - my computor unexpectedly died and is now getting repaired, so I'm borrowing a friends comp to reply here. My computor is 'dead', as I said, so I'm thinking it might have been my computor causing the problem, and not the mod itself, however, I will be able to check once my computor is fixed.

Thank you for the replies, and the suggestions/advice. I'll be sure to try downloading/installing TS again once my computors running, and using your suggestions.

To clear things up; when I said I 'reinstalled', I actually meant to say I'd uninstalled everything and then installed it all over again (the games and mod) but it didn't work. I'm not actually sure what BGT is... is that important for this mod?

And I did install in this order: SoA + ToB + ToB official patch + Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.66 + TS v7.02.

As for installations, I had a few tweak mods and Kivan of Shilmista installed previously, but I uninstalled all of those and deleted their contents from my comp before downloading TS. Regardless, when I reinstalled my games, I had nothing else (besides Baldurdash-WeiDu) installed.

I do have the original english version, so I will do as you suggest and try to install it all again (without the add on mods, obviously.) once my comps back in working order.

My guess is that the uninstallation was not clean.
