Hm... I'm not sure I write the new name of Tulla correctly. biggrin.gif What is a main goal here? What I must do this exepting all mages with all magic quests? My character is multi-mage, so the magic quests are beyond her knowledge dry.gif Are they necessary?
Golden Thief
Let see if I can answer this a little.
No all the magi tests do not have to be done to achieve the final goal. They do give you more experience points and some more spells. The main goal is to discover where the key is and retrieve it. They are just something else to do while you are there. I think there are 6 total.
Vlad
The main goal, well, is obviously to enjoy the game. biggrin.gif

If you talk to Tilorn before he would explain the main goal to transport you to Halruaa. Like GT said is to find the key to events resulted in destroying Ulcaster Academy, and to correct it in the favour of Ulcaster. You are supposed to spy there if you wish to call it so. Beside this main quest you have other several major quests which do not affect the main quest at all but bring more XP, spells and items, actually bring more role-playing experience and enjoyment. One of them is the Ring of Might quest which you would like to do to obtain the powerfull artefact. Mage specialist quests are for those who are interested in obtaining new spells and testing your mage capabilities. They are of course for mages and in most cases for a single character in your group who can cast spells. These quests (exams) are very different in levels and testing abilities, hence the rewards for passing these tests are very different.

Well, I hate magic and don't know spells well, due to this all Halrua-quest are very annoing to me

I return it to Lavallin... its HIS ring, BTW. I'm not sure I have a right to take it.
About weapons from sewers: why I haven't the possibility to bye them from mage? Or to take only one (long sword, for example) and return to him short and mace? I hate to kill NPC for equipment And what abour the ore I found early? Who can deel with it?
I don't understand: why you take out all my armor and weapon? And where I can found them after? There is no fun to fight with naked fists...

I haven't any clues... I found one note, but...

About bugs
Snake oil: using it led to fatal error (I don't know in English - igra gluho visnet )
Ih Halrua-dialogs instead <CHARNAME> - Hrothgar. He talks with himself... And other - too. In mauzoleum, when lich is appear, door is disappear . Is it related cases?
In one of the houses is a note. But I cannot take it: mage guard is appear.

And the last question: how long tome I can stay in Athkatla? It would be wise to come to agreement with Hrothgar about deadline. For example, I don't know, can I go to Winspear or Umar?
Vlad
Senka, all the problems you've encountered are storyline dependent. Most of the quests in Halruaa are for mages. If you don't have a well prepared mage in your party, then you'll not be able to do anything in Halruaa including fighting except a couple of minor quests. For more details please write me e-mail.

Lawfully good character, eh? BTW you know you can enhance the ring later if you read Bartlemy's diary.

No, you may not buy anything from him, he is not a merchant, it's an undeground network of smugglers selling these weapons to mages. However you may trade the whole merchandise for 10000 gp.

QUOTE

Rhittelium, well, I hope Cerpentar or somebody else. wink.gif

QUOTE

Read the dialogue between Tilorn and PC, he explains everything. You are going to Halruaa, the academy of magics where weapons and armour are prohibitted to wear and use.

QUOTE
And where I can found them after?

Tilorn asked you to store all your equipment in a safe place. I've stored it in Ruins. You may store where you wish.

QUOTE

Sure, you need mages and their spells. smile.gif

QUOTE

You don't need to loot all the coffins there really but just a single one with Kalinor's body. But if you do so prepare for surprises. This is the Academy of Mages once again!

QUOTE

All the chests and containers are magically warded in Halruaa. You have to think how to open them invisibly without being discovered. Again it's one of the elemnts of this mod, you need to think about your tactics, mainly about mage performing.

Why don't? He gives you a plenty of time, about 50-55 days with two warnings between them. If you are ready you may travel to Ulcaster on your own (through Map).

Sure, because PC is not Hrothgar or anyone else, and hence I've used <GABBER> instead. It's more logically correct.

Senka,
Just a note here. You needn't feel guilty about keeping the ring. After all, it belonged to Bartlemy and his friends. They were in the process of crafting it when the accident happened. It never, at anytime belonged to Lavallin.
All he knows about it were the stories told after the event. As a much sought after artifact, he only wants it in order to keep it safe and to prevent any other student or tutor attempting to complete it and suffering the same fate as Bartlemy's friends. smile.gif

But why I cannot give 20000 to him instead, and all weapons are mine (without any killing?) wink.gif

Kromvel is not react. Cespenar... mmm... I doubt I will play TOB smile.gif

No-no, I don't wear any armar or weapon. I put them in bag-of-holding. What's wrong? wink.gif I CAN walking in Halruaa wearing leather armor from sewers and equipt with short swords. Script doesn't kill me! laugh.gif

Hrothgar say: I see you are wright, Hrothgar...
Mage say (to my PC): Blah-blah-blah, Hrothgar
This is exactly what I mean

If I pay to theives, Leina-quest is not available to me and I cannot sleep in Five Flagons, yes? May be I need to refuse to search Leina?
