Hello, fellow modders.

Here comes the moment to present the races of the TC. Except for humans and dwarves, there are not much like D&D races.
The Agone RPG presents 12 playable races, humans and seasonlings ('cos non-human races are said to have been created by the Season Ladies themselves):

- Humans: the name says it all
- Satyrs: the famous (or infamous)seductors and hedonists;
- Sprites: little humanoids who lives in city;
- Spriggans: similar to sprites but less resistant and prefer to live in nature, they share a special bond with trees;
- Giants: giant humanoids. They are peaceful despite their size and gentle-minded toward other races (except for those who are not respectful for nature)
- Minotaurs: tall humanoids with bull-like heads. They come from the Abyss, a demoniac underdark where their race keep the demons from fleeing to the surface. Playable minotaurs escaped long time ago and are very rare in Harmundia.
- Ogres: similar to human, they have more force and resistance and tend toward war (or violence in general). With sprites and dwarves, they are the most common of seasonlings;
- Dwarves: the good old dwarves.
- Black feys: seasonlings who look like little old women. They are very weak but make excellent magicians.
- Medusae: women with serpents instead of hairs wink.gif

For this moment I plan to implement in the TC:

- humans smile.gif
- ogres (in replacement of the half-orcs)
- sprites/spriggan (in replacement of the halflings)
- Satyrs/medusae (in replacement of the elves)
- dwarves
- minotaurs (in replacement of half-elves)
- black feys (in replacement of tieflings) - NPC race, not for players (too weak)

It would ne nice to make giants, but it would be overpowered and difficult to deal with quests, indoor areas, etc.

That's a very interesting list you have there! I somehow missed the information: Does this assortment refer to any known fantasy world-ruleset?

I like the races you've chosen very much! But I guess quite a few people will be sad you skipped elves, I guess. (This was *not* a hidden petition for taking them in. wink.gif)

Yeah, from Agone rpg. it's not well known outside france because of translation problem (the company wich dealt with that didn't pay back the french developper) but you should find some info checking with google wink.gif

Well, there are NO elves in Harmundia. And trust me, sprites and spriggans are much funnier to play with tongue.gif

It's one of the feature of the TC. Armors (and also weapons) don't automatically match with the size of the different races. There are 4 size of armors: the smallest one (for black fey), the small (for dwarves, sprites and spriggans), the medium size (for humans, medusae and satyrs) and the huge one (for minotaurs).

Armors for black feys and minotaurs are among the rarest of the Realms.

You *are* doing this thoroughly! I didn't even know this could be made possible in the BGII-engine. (Like a lot of other animation / graphic stuff you are changing.) My curiosity about this mod increases. smile.gif

Well, it's pretty easy. You just need to modify usability flags in the items, so that half-orc sized armors can't be used by halflings. i just need to make every armor twice (possibly more)

they are no animation work in that.

Echon's Fields of the Dead also introduces different sizes of equipment as per PnP.

In first let me introduce myself, I'm a French guy who play to the RpG "Agone", I would like to add some comments concerning the playable race.

Cool ! But do you add the fact that they are very sensitive to the illness of the city...

Arghhh ! Very difficult to play this type of guy, they can't
- enter on a village
- they can only cross the main street of the big city
- and except if the home is created specially for them, they sleep outside of home.

Sorry if I misunderstand but the Minotaurs are not demoniac, they are more resistant of the influence of the Master of the Abyss. When they escape of the Abyss they become Renegate guys. They are really loyal, they never say lies.

They have the size of children (7-8ans), a skin of very very old woman. They also have some small bat wings. Immortel by default (except if you kill them). They have very, very, long sleep time. (In RpG it's very difficult to play this type of race because suddenly you can sleep for the rest of the scenario). Peace women, they have the most big knowledge.

The most beautiful women that you have never seen ! But they are the specialist of lies, poison, seduction...
If this girl is interested by you, well, it's nice for you but finally you will pay too much...

Hello,

I return on the black fairies, other one of their characteristic, it is that during their sleep, they can find a part of their memory.

(Indeed, they lose the memory after each of their sleep).

But the more they manage to find their memory, the more they become powerful.

So it is a real challenge to play these very nice characters in RpG but it's a best interest !

Yeah I know.

Giants and black feys shouldn't be implemented in the game, at least as playable race. I plan to make a black fey npc, so most of the race features could be encountered as a npc quest.

OKay, np so.

Did you managed to get giants working in the game ? I mean, those guys size like 10 m high, five time a normal human... 20 to 30m high for higher individuals, like Abyme's...

Oh, there's already giants graphics in the game, even if they look like d&d giants more than Agone's giants...
