Hi all. I hope someone can help me. I'm not sure if it's related to NEJ. Here is my problem:
I cant move my party in chateau Irenicus. It's more like a delayed beaming. Same in the first big area of NEJ. In the first two small rooms everything is fine. First of all, I thought my installation isnt compatibel and some of the NPC scripts are messed up. I tried different combinations and sent some NPC away (Shar-Teel,Minsc, etc.), but no change. After that my hardware specs come to my mind (Notebook: CPU T2250, GPU something with shared memory). I did a defrag of my storage, turned off my virus prot. and other running processes, but again no change. Okay my graphic card is crap -> in config the graphic specs are set to below minimum (lowest option). Damn no enhancements. Coincidently, I lowered the sound specs and voila the game runs smooth. What is the problem? /edit Did some further testing. Its the "Disable All Ambient Sounds" option. Here is my Weidu.log (weidu.v202) CODE // Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods

As I understand the structures used, it's not the ocunt, but the number of different items that might at all cause trouble.
But that would only be from a PartyHasItem() script check, which is fairly common in dialogs (where a lag is probably not a problem). On-board sound often has no special buffer for sounds, so it uses the main memory, which is very likely to cause lag in places with lots of placed ambients - such as Athkatla. You can try the "low mem sounds 1=1" (config option No High Memory Ambient Sounds) and "low mem sounds 2=1" (config option Disable all Ambient Sounds) settings in Baldur.ini Also, try "Environmental audio=0" |
