Yeah, sorry about that. I got a letter about it some time ago, but nobody else seemed to have this problem so I didn't release a new version, because the files on my computer are in a mess of lately, and will probably remain like that until I finish the mod. You can try to install this one:

http://forums.blackwyrmlair.net/index.php?...e=post&id=11218

It was used for debuging a cutscene. You can actually read about it in the "CutScene Problem" thread. Mind you, it's a completely playable version, though it was never ment to be put for download.

I had another installation problem resulting from a parsing error in line 258 (I think) of the d/azurej file:

IF ~~ THEN REPLY ~I'm happy I met you, Azure. You are more then just a worthy party member. You are a friend.~ DO ~IncrementGlobal("AzureAffection","GLOBAL",1)~ GOTO 33

The problem was that the DO was written as Do... Just thought I'd mention that in case anyone else had similar problems.

Oh, great... Seems Azure just messed up my whole dialog.tlk (sigh). Now every item description is a bit of dialog. Thanks a bunch.

Oh, well, off she goes again.

Messed up names/item descriptions usually happen if you use a savegame where you had mods installed in a different order than they are in your current game, or if a .tlk editor (NI, DLTCEP, ..) was open during install.

Yeah, I know. But my Azure installation fit neither of your categories.

It's the old TeamBG code overwriting rather than patching stuff, isn't it?

There is nothing in the azure installation code that suggests what you mentioned. It's a WeiDU installer with new text strings appended to the dialog.tlk and appending existing scripts like for all other WeiDU mods. What you said would be true for a mod that comes with a complete new dialog.tlk that overwrites the existing one, and that is not happening here as far as I can see in the code. I guess balduran can give better answers when he is online again.

Sorry to sound so negative above - it was just the disappointment of instantly seeing the item descriptions turned to gibberish upon installing Azure.

And whatever happened, I do blame her for doing something (even if I may unwittingly have helped cause the mess - dunno how, though). All was well until installing; all was unwell immediately upon installation finishing.

As for installation order: she was the very last mod I installed.

Again - sorry for the negativism. Had a bad day.

No offence taken from my side. If you say neither the game itself or an editor was running nor you loaded an old savegame I have indeed no idea what could have messed up your text strings. Maybe you could give her a second chance. smile.gif
If you still find her messing up your dialogues this could be something worth looking into further.

The TP2 and the TRA files have valid content, so Azure's coding can be no way responsible for the problem. There are two possibilities:
1. The problem was on your side. In this case, if you had installed any mod that time, the result would be the same (messed up talk table).
2. A bug in WeiDU, which occurs only in determined (but unknown) circumstances.

I used WeiDU v195, if that would make any difference. And though I suspected I had somehow downloaded a semi-ancient version, I did notice that I have the same Azure as on your download page.

Anyway, while something undetermined happened, I am no longer blaming you. Lots of stuff could have been the cause - it was just that Azure was the obvious fall "guy" due to the timing (apparent cause and effect, you know).

As Jastey already mentioned, that bug is probably due to the uninstallation of some mod which is present in your savegame. I seriously don't know about bugs in WeiDU, but this is the only other reason possible.

The only bug I've encountered so far is not connected directly with Azre, but with the Nature's Ally druid kit. And I am almost certain that it is due to another mod, because it does not appear in a clean game only with Baldurdash and Azure installed. It involves using the kit for you protagonist and casting the Summon Wyvern spell. When the wyvern attacks someone, the game crashes.

Nah, if nothing's wrong with Azure I'll blame WeiDU in this case. Mainly because I don't do things like install mods midway through a game, or while running various other programmes.

Anyway, apart from my note about the azurej's spelling of DO, I think the subject is over.

The forum says that post isn't available. It wasn't disabled, it's simply not there -- I can't do anything with it. It might have been removed by the author, I don't know.

A weidu.debug might reveal more details about your problem. I suppose Victor will check the forum soon (he was online yesterday, according to the forum).

Hi,

I am sorry I wasn't paying much attention to what's going on lately. I've been really busy and it's only getting worse. I also had some PC problems and I had to buy a new one. I salvaged what I could from Azure, so the mod will be fine once it is done. I have a almost playable version which needs a major flaw to be fixed before I can release it. For some reason an inn that I tried to revamp is crashing the game every time the area loads. Once I find a way to fix that, I will come out with the SofA content, which will be also compatible with ToB.

The error lies in this line of the "Azure\d\azurej.d":

CODE
IF ~~ THEN REPLY ~I'm happy I met you, Azure. You are more then just a worthy party member. You are a friend.~ Do ~IncrementGlobal("AzureAffection","GLOBAL",1)~ GOTO 33

You must change in this line the "Do" to a "DO" and save the file. Then you can install Azure NPC.
We fix it with the BiG World Fixpack, too.

Greetings Leomar
