So one of the ads for Black Wyrm Lair led us to this site: http://www.blackgeyser.com/

It looks like Baronius is behind it via this site: https://sites.google.com/site/towerofbaronius/

At any rate, it's very cool to see another Baldur's Gate inspired game in the works. I hope this can be successful!

Agree smile.gif, Especially a Project initiated from the roots of Baldur's Gate Modding Community!

Me too, wink.gif,
Best wishes for Success to Team in the Kickstarter Campaign!
I always like : the Black Geyser Logo, the Scale of the Sprites & Maps/Scenery Integration,
the GUI, the Narration/Songs/Harp theme/SFXs/in the Teaser, The Dialogue Three/Arborescence/Colors/Options Box, etc.,
I have a feeling of Simplicity & Efficiency/Game-Play, Game Design & Art Works looks Fun, Nice & Inventive,
Intrigued by the RP rules Background & Mechanism, waiting for VFXs/Spell Effects, & of course Battles Animations,
Looking for Black Geyser Game Engine Specification/Render/Applications/Improvements : like day & night cycle, climatic effects, etc., vs Infinity Engine Specifications ...
Anyway, I Want my Beta! laugh.gif

These 10 second ads are getting really annoying now.
Baronius
Do you get them repeatedly at the same place? I just checked the code that we got from the Black Geyser team, it seems to be OK.

It sets cookies per domain/subdomain (this is generic behavior of cookies). So, for example, if you visit the following:
www.blackwyrmlair.net
greyclan.blackwyrmlair.net
forums.blackwyrmlair.net

then you will get an ad for each. But if you visit www.blackwyrmlair.net and www.blackwyrmlair.net/Mods multiple times (or if you visit the forum any number of times), they will display the ad only at your first visit (because we are in the same domain/subdomain).

What are you experiencing?
Bill Bisco
I've gotten the ad 3 times on my phone and on my computer now. I don't know how it tracks the entry whether by login or IP or whatever.

I just tested again. Yeah, I guess people like me who use multiple browsers and multiple computers are going to see this ad a lot. I still hope for your game's success of course. thumb.gif

This occurs each day on the same computer. Is it normal? Don't you want to add "skip" button? smile.gif
Baronius
Are you using anonymous mode maybe? Something that clears your cookies?

It shouldn't appear on the same subdomain more than once for a long time.

No.
I'm not complain just... curious biggrin.gif

This Black Geyser ad just caused the forum to eat one of my posts. Good thing that I have a habit to always copy before submitting.

Still, this is unacceptable. Also, this forum has a problem with being logged into multiple devices/locations, it would be much better if it did not. I am constantly logging back in.
Baronius
Sorry to hear that, Bill Bisco. So far, we haven't received such reports from anyone else (which doesn't mean I don't consider your report genuine and important).

(Long ago, we customized some parts of the forum, maybe that's the problem?)

Does anyone else experience the multiple-devices-logging-out issue?

Again, sorry for the inconveniences.
Vlad
I'm using Google Chrome on all my devices, no anonymous, just regular mode. I enter the forum page always through the nice ad screen waiting for 10 seconds.

The Black Geyser team launches their Kickstarter this month. They also published a video presenting game controls and gameplay:
