Is it one at level 1, and then 4, 7, ect.?

I'm trying to figure out how many traps thieves in Tutu will have according to their level, and can't find anything about traps in the guide (maybe I'm missing it though).

I don't know of any documentation on it either, and I play thieves a lot but don't mess with that ability much though. I think it is something like that though.
