a dwarf looking for a "family heirloom" dagger
a cult looking for the same dagger and who are into demon summoning
a mage looking to send you on what seems like a no win/no return journey
a group of werewolves looking for a foothold in Faerun...

I know other towns have their problems but would you really want to live there?
