Hello everyone,

Sorry to revive this forum but I am stuck with this mod and would like to continue it if possible. . I started to play BG again after a looooooong absence. I did one of these “giant” installs and I am very, very thankful for all the great work the modder guys and gals did.

However, I ran into a problem with the Drizzt Saga:

I met Drizzt fighting gnolls and after finishing Durlags Tower which I done BEFORE going to ulgoths beard (was a mistake I know, didn’t know better). In Ulgoths Beard I found Drizzt in the Inn. There is actually a whole bunch of Drizzts at my disposal since he spawned several times. I did the Nine Hells Quest with Drizzt and Wulfgar.

The problem is: I am stuck. I don’t know what to do now? Drizzt says nothing. He just leaves for good when talked to. There is no new area on the worldmap. Drizzt just mentioned that he has business in Icewind Dale. There is no hint\option whatsoever that allows me to keep the story going. So my question is:

Is there some kind of walkthrough\documentation\list of variables I need to tinker with in order to continue the story? Any hint is very much appreciated.

This is hoping that somebody is still lurking here wink.gif

P.S.: I tried to get in touch with flysoup unfortunately to no avail

Hello,

I remember to have enjoy a lot this mod, a long time ago, (people said non balanced, but a lot of new creatures & maps, I like it) ,

I've encounter a few bug/issue also, as missing Drizzt followers (Regis),

The most possible causes/issues it's a worldmap/MegaInstallation (like BWP) problems .

Then a CLUA console code with the correct Drizzt Saga Mod Map index could resolve this ...

It's stipulated (if I understand correctly) for avoid bugs & isssues :

1) To beginning the quest on Chapter 7 (8/BWP ref)
2) In your party you must have at the beginning of the mod only Drizzt (others usuals NPCs stay to Ulgoths Beard Inn)
3) Don't force the Drizzt Saga followers to quit the party !

Resume/translation of the first paragraph :

"Once you have passed the Tower Durlag and killed the demon master, in the south-west of the citadel you will have to wait a famous epic hero Drizzt. He will assign you to a meeting at the Ulgoths Beard tavern . Talk to him and get the dark elf in your party [...] . Soon we will have to join a new hero. We leave the tavern and meet the halfling Regis. Old Drizzt's friend looking for him for a long time. Hafling report [...] about trouble in the Nine hells. [...] . Agree to follow Drizzt, or dark elf will leave without you and we will lose the opportunity to run this mod. [...]"

P.S. :
I recommended you if you still stuck to make a multi-installation, in fact some Mega Mods are a bit capricious, and you must sometimes to reinstall all your Mega-Installation, to avoid this, for testing some mods you can also follow my advice .

Thanks a lot for the additional info. I'll look into it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to "revive" the quest thread from what I can tell. Next time then wink.gif ..
