Improved Anvil 7.0 is here!

Yes, it is finally happening. The fabled 7th version of the mod has spent more than 10 years traversing the innumerable circles of development hell. We've had many small releases along the way, each one bringing us a step closer to the desired goal. Somewhere during the year 2020, a final concept of the new druid stronghold quest has emerged. Unfortunately, it was a bit too epic in scope, and many adjustments had to be made until we brought it to a playable state. Slow and steady, we kept at it. Then, about 9 months ago, Sikret has returned and re-joined the development team, and the work began in earnest.

The result of it is now available for everyone who still comes back to play BG2 and Improved Anvil, after all these years. This new release is a huge body of work. Besides the new druid stronghold quest, we've updated and rebalanced many kits (check out the fun new options!), added new items and treasures, rebalanced tactic encounters and even created a couple of new ones, fixed lots of various bugs and tweaked many a small thing (more than 100 entries, closer to 150, by my count). I want to thank Sikret, SparrowJacek and bulian for all their help in carrying this all the way to the finish line.

Of course, however we may try, issues will remain, so feel free to share your feedback on the forum. We'll be happy to help.

The most stable version is available in the download section of BWL and on the mod's github page. The latest bleeding edge version of the master branch is available here. And there's the link to the readme.

I have also updated IA Tweaks to the version 1.03. The release is available on BWL Downloads and on the mod's github page, respectively.

Oh, and be sure to check out the brand new NPC mod that we are releasing alongside IA v7.0 (the description thread will be pinned somewhere nearby on the forum)!

Have fun smile.gif

Cheers,
