O.k. - this thread shall be dedicated to the compatibility of the rjali-mod with other mods.
@Nullset: As a start, I have been thinking, it could be of great interest for everybody, if you would tell us which other mods you yourself have used over the time with your mod. Because I figure, these must probably be quite safe, shouldn't they? So I found this: 2) - Don't know about the Imoen and Viconia Friendship mods. As they aren't romance mods, however, why would you want them in conjunction with Rjali? - I am running my tests with Flirtpack 1.03 installed, so that is alright. (Mind you, I added flirts for Neera to that one for my own use. They are based heavily on Aerie, and I just don't feel right distributing that.) - Don't know about NPC Strongholds. Let me know if it causes you issues, and I'll see what I can do. - The banter packs and RE should be OK. I haven't used them because I have quite enough romance to be going on with. Especially with v6.0. So here comes my question, Sir: Are there any other mods you use (besides the flirt pack)? Or, vice versa, is there any mod out there, whose combination with rjali should be tested cautiously? Mind you, of course I know, that you could not and will not give garanties in any form for the compatibility for a specific mod. Nobody is expecting you to. But it would be nice to give us some hints at least. I am sure this is an important aspect for all of your readers and followers. Nobody likes to find out on his own (the hard way), once the story already has unfolded and a restart means anguish and frustration. Thanks a lot, Seewead Here comes my edit of this post, because I figure: It would be great to have a list of all compatible mods right in the first opening of this thread. So here I tell you about my experience with compatibilty so far. A. Mind you, I always install via BWS. Works more than great for me; not only because of the convenience, but also because of all the patches and bug-fixes you get automatically - on the fly - during the installation process. All the following mods have been patched and corrected by the programmes that come along with the aforementioned BWS. Therefore I can't really tell you, if the mods work as flawlessly, should you install them yourself manually without BWS (and the incorportated patches). B. Also please keep in mind, that the order and sequence of the mods is crucial in many cases. Don't stray from the path! C. Also I would like to urge you to install all mods in english language only, no matter what. Go for foreign language translations only, if you have secured that these truly work with the new file format that was brought to us by the Enhanced Editions! Most of the time it does NOT. D. In my following list of tested mods I did not include the various romance mods that are adressed by the RJali mod. Naturally they are compatible as well, of course. 1. BWS means, you get BigWorld Installpack, BigWorld Fixpack including BigWorld Trimpack and BigWorld Textpack 2. The Darkest Day (TDD) version 1.14 with TDDz (EE-compatible installer for TDD) - all components tested Source for TDD: http://www.shsforums.net/files/file/323-th...rkest-day-v114/ Source for TDDz: https://github.com/BiGWorldProject/TDDz/blo.../TDDz/README.md 3. I include here a copy of my WeiDU log (pre Rjali). As you can see, I run/test with a pretty stripped down setup: just a little tweaking and the other romance mods. I know. I know. Not all the romance mods are shown here, but I can assure that I have tested with them all. I also recently switched from Tweak Pack to Tweaks-Anthology to keep up with the times. Both worked just fine, although there are still a few Pack bugs that moved over into Anthology, as they just moved the same code over. (The Gorion Wraith sequence is not handled properly in the multiple romance option.)
As to other mods, I have neither time nor inclination to try them. Too busy doing my own thing. All I can say is that there is no up front reason why there *should* be incompatiblilities, but they *could* be there. I just don't know. I repeat my request: if you run into an incompatibility, lemme know, and I will do what I can to resolve the issue. I have found a number of these just in the romance mods; not so much with my mod as between them. EG: Petsy will be taken by Bodhi IN ADDITION TO whoever else Bodhi takes. Imagine the conundrum when you get to the statue and can only revive one because there is only one Bodhi's heart. I fixed this by removing the requirement to use Bodhi's heart to revive Petsy, as she was the one to use a different hook to get taken by Bodhi. -------------------- nullset

nullset, could you please report Gorion bug at the Tweaks forum? I'm sure if you post details, CamDawg will definitely fix it.

Oh yeah, please. Nullset, that would be great. Because, as I wrote recently in another thread:
From your readme: "BG2 Tweakpack Multiple Romances: Does not handle the post Gorion Wraith sequence properly, except for the NPC who was subjected to the wraith's scrutiny. Fixed. BG2 Tweakpack Multiple Strongholds: Cleric not spawning. Fixed." [...] But BWS is installing Tweaks Anthology AFTER the rjali-mod (which seems only natural for me). Question is, can your mod fix the tweaks-components in spite of this? Bottom line is: To apply your correction of these two problems, I would have to install the rjali-mod last, at least after the tweaks-anthology. Even using BWS, I could do this manually, of course. Nevertheless, I am not sure about the consequences installing an NPC-mod like rjali AFTER all the tweak-mods I use. Usually I learned to go the other way around, at least when installing a whole chunk of different mods. Alternatively it would help equally, if you could provide your fixes as a stand-alone-solution, that could be installed last. Or as a separate option in your mod, that I coud use after everything else is installed. Just a thought, Seewead |

Anthology has already fixed the multiple strongholds bug. I am making this fix only when the TweakPack fix is applied, so no conflict there.
As per ALIENQuake's advice above, I will be submitting my bug report to the Anthology forum, so that should take care of the Gorion Wraith thing. There should be no problem here since I am NOT patching anything. Instead I have added scripts to supplement the existing code. This interferes in no way with the existing code. At worst, it duplicates proper actions (whenever they are instituted). Before or after makes no nevermind. I admit that I have misunderstood the whole Tweak philosophy. I have always operated on the notion that Tweaks were to be applied to the raw game and, therefore, should go in before any other mods. It appears that I had it bassackwards. Classic example of what happens when a complete tyro with a big head steps into the arena and they forget to sic the lions on him. -------------------- nullset
