Cattie Brie's Voice / BGII, She sounds like a demon Options

Hello,
I am a bit worried over two things. The first is cattie brie's voice or the sound she makes when you click on her. usually an NPC simply says "yes?" or "what would you have me do?" but for some reason her sound is that of a demon when i click on her. Its the strangest thing. is this a bug or is there some way to fix it?

Secondly, I read somewhere that you cant have the drizzt characters in BGII and BG TOB if you are playing with BG Trilogy. WHY? what happens after i kill sarevok in BGI? Do all my characters just disappear? This is really frustrating since i was looking forward to playing all the way through with drizzt's peeps.

any help on this would be much appreciated,
