solomonkane: I think I sorted out the permission and PM issues you experienced. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Actually, the reason was funny: you (and some other members) were in the Contributor group, which used to have more privileges than the old Visitor group (but still not full privileges). After switching back to the open system, I forgot to update the Contributor group. -------------------- Mental harmony dispels the darkness.
