I'm doing the Tower of Deception and trying to take out the Astral Shard and it's guardian and nothing I do damages either of them cna anyone offer me an idea on what I have to do to destroy them please?

You have to defeat Astral Shard Guardian first, then you can destroy Astral Shard itself. ASG requires +2 weapons to hit, and make sure that she isn't protected either by Stoneskin or Protection from Magical weapons.
