I have a big problem when Xephistagoras shows up for me with the other folks. They have thier dialog cutscene then X attacks them, then I got a CTD as they morph into skeletons.

Sooooo.....

After seeing if it was an isolated thing (wasn't kept crashing on that cutscene) next time I just shot the paladins to see what would happen and they turned to skeletons and were dead.

I thought I was good to go and saved after that but Xephistagoras never shows up now and the game "stutters". I tried entering the friendly arm inn and that overwrote my autosave too. So I'm kinda in trouble I guess with this since it doesn't matter where I go now that game stutters like mad. I am not thrilled about losing my experience by going back to a much earlier savegame that works fine.

I'm guessing the scripts are waiting for some trigger or something. Any suggestions?

Please please?

It is a crapshoot sometimes to biff and not get crashes. Same results can happen installing things like Nithrun fixes that edit cre's or spells and get crashes. I had a lot of mods on my last weidu with GC but never have I installed spellpack or nithrun fixes and I biffed the override.

Sometimes if you can narrow down the spell and replace it from a vanilla game, than that can be a long term fix for the install. The hard part is finding the corrupted file(s) and knowing they are corrupted.
