I have a big problem when Xephistagoras shows up for me with the other folks. They have thier dialog cutscene then X attacks them, then I got a CTD as they morph into skeletons.
Sooooo..... After seeing if it was an isolated thing (wasn't kept crashing on that cutscene) next time I just shot the paladins to see what would happen and they turned to skeletons and were dead. I thought I was good to go and saved after that but Xephistagoras never shows up now and the game "stutters". I tried entering the friendly arm inn and that overwrote my autosave too. So I'm kinda in trouble I guess with this since it doesn't matter where I go now that game stutters like mad. I am not thrilled about losing my experience by going back to a much earlier savegame that works fine. I'm guessing the scripts are waiting for some trigger or something. Any suggestions? Please please? :/ This post has been edited by smeagolheart: Mar 30 2008, 06:05 PM |

QUOTE I've never biffed any mod ... i don't see the reason. U're right, biffing (and deleting!) badly could crash your game. Biffing only helps when the resource is accessed a lot of times or a lot of resources are accessed. That is, the statement "too many files in Override can slow down your game" is only true if there are relatively many resources that are accessed "often".Users install GB of MODS together without even knowing if one mod is compatible or not. So coming to the biffing process, if something did wrong, they honestly don't know that it could screw up your whole game. May be they just delete and delete cause they 20 GB game is stuttering forever. QUOTE I'm just saying Baronius that TCGE1 is without bugs for me (in my game, just finished your mod i didn't have any issue) ... SO MANY mods together with it, well ... something should have messed up ... something else :-) I also assume the stutter problem is related to something different. However, I take all reports seriously, and this one is no exception, especially because of the crash. One of my guesses is that the "mushroom cloud" summon animation that causes the problem. smeagolheart has Galc's SpellPack installed which includes SPBOOM.BAM, as Chev pointed out. That time, I opened Spellpack's SPBOOM.BAM both in bamworkshop and DLTCEP, and it seemed to be an "empty" animation (neither of the editors displayed anything). I did all that in a hurry and I might have missed something, so if anyone can disprove it, please do so. On the other hand, if it's indeed an invalid file, then it may a bug of SpellPackB4. -------------------- Mental harmony dispels the darkness.
