Hi.
Well, to make a long story short: why is it not recommended? I'm curious why this fixpack seems to be the reason for many bugs or other problems. Because it's poorly modded? Because of the methods used to actually "fix" things? Something else? |

I don't know the whole bunch of reasons because of which the Fixpack is not compatible with IA, but from different threads I remember that some incopatibilities come from the fact that the G3 Fixpack make all used keys to disappear and you need the Simbol of Amaunator (considered a key) to forge an item. I know there are more incompatibilities for sure, but I don't recall more right know. I just know that the Fixpack is not compatible, as the readme says. I think that there are a few threads about that, just search in different pages in this subforum.
You can use safely the Baldurdas fix pack, and for the upcoming versions of IA, Sikret and Co. are making a list of bugs in the original game to create their own fixpack to install altogether with IA, so if you are interested on playing IA, with the actual version (which has lots of fixes) and the upcoming versions (which will surely include loads more) you will have your problems solved. But if you only want to know the reason because of which IA and the Fixpack are incompatible, I'm sure that more people will soon answer. Bye! |
