I ran into one in the second spellhold asylum map (before the cat o' 9 lives room). Why can't I get Breach to work on him? Is it immune to 5th level spells or something? I've fired 4 Ruby Rays at it and Breach still does nothing.

Also, remember to bring Potions of Absorbtion with you to Spellhold. They really help against the Amber golems.

Liches are immune to 5th level spells even in the vanilla game.

Cheating is not confined to using external software or the console commands. Abusing the flaws and limitations of the game engine to do something that a human Dungeon Master would not accept or allow is cheating.

This is true but there are so few of the potions in the game that I would recommend saving them for the bigger and nastier golems. In the same way I would recommend not wasting the Potions of Icedust on Firkraag (save them for a bigger dragon wink.gif ).
