Academy of Tactics is where players can find papers, essays and articles to improve their tactical skills.

Articles can be found as attachments to this post. We will gradually add more articles. Any player who wants to submit his/her article to appear on this page with his/her own name can send me a copy of the article in a PM.

The academy starts with this topic for now. Later, we may extend it by introducing a new subforum to IA's forum.

Cheating is not confined to using external software or the console commands. Abusing the flaws and limitations of the game engine to do something that a human Dungeon Master would not accept or allow is cheating.

A new article (by Shadan) is added to the academy. It gives a comprehensive list of all traps in the game with ways to protect your party against their effects; ideal for thiefless parties. To save the documents, you can right click on them and choose the "Save Target As ..." option.

We've uploaded two new articles. The first one details our observations on how the internal mechanics of round counting works. The second article shows an example of putting such knowledge to work, demonstrated by winning a brand-new encounter of IAv6, "The story of the Old Ones".
